WHAT IS THE KAYAKING
Kayaking is a sport in which a kayak is used to move across the water through the movement of the paddle. It differs from canoeing in the sitting position of the kayaker and the number of paddles on the paddle. For this activity you’ll board a double kayak that is stable and easy to steer.
HOW THE ACTIVITY TAKES PLACE
The Kayak tour in Amalfi Coast starts at 10:30 a.m. at the meeting point indicated in the map. After meeting the staff and the group with whom you will carry out the activity, a briefing will follow on the main safety measures and behaviors to be observed. Once you have put on your life jackets and adjusted the footrests of the kayaks, you are ready to set sail westward for the Runghetiello Cave.
The route will make you admire the most beautiful beaches of Amalfi, full of natural arches and characteristic sea caves. There are also stops to snorkel and swim in the crystal clear waters.
After passing the beaches of Duoglio and Santa Croce, you will pass near “L’arco degli Innamorati“, an arch carved into the rock millions of years ago by the erosion of the sea whose shape resembles two elephants intent on kissing. Then you will pass in front of the seaside village of Conca dei Marini, skirting the villa of Sofia Loren and seeing the historic hotel “Il Saraceno” located on the beach of La Vite.
From here you can enjoy a splendid view of the Santa Rosa Monastery, a former convent which has now become a luxury hotel.
Once you pass the coast of Conca dei Marini you will enter its western basin, where you can admire the towns of Furore and Praiano, the Li Galli and the island of Capri with its famous Faraglioni.
Continuing the navigation inside this basin you will reach, finally, the small Runghetiello Cave, a picturesque natural sea cave that takes its name from a local fish, painted in red and green by the minerals that cover its walls.
You will slowly return to the Amalfi coast admiring an equally extraordinary view of the sea along the coast.

WHO IS THE ACTIVITY FOR
The kayak tour to the Runghetiello Cave is an activity for everyone, you only need to be able to swim and enjoy good health. You will be trained by qualified staff who will accompany you throughout the adventure. Even children from 7 years old and up can participate accompanied by an adult with whom they will share a double kayak.
