You’ll walk in a suggestive, wide and equipped path in the Forest Reserve that crosses the Piano delle Ginestre and that’s among the most protected of the Park.
The road stretches mostly flat and passes through pine and holm oak woods.
The path it’s flanked by dry stone walls and cross one of the most beautiful and scenic stretches of the entire Park with a continuous alternation of more closed and shaded areas of the forest sometimes open and in scrub, both dominated from the Grand Cone of Vesuvius.
Along the way you will cross beautiful volcanic formations and you’ll encounter 3 lava flows dating back to 1944 eruption, colonized by pioneer plant species including the “Stereocaulon vesuvianum”, the lichen of Vesuvius.

Recommended clothing and equipment Hiking shoes or with not sole smooth, snacks and beverages, fleece sweatshirt, windproof or k-way, clothes suitable for the season, mesh parts, cap, sunscreen, camera, long pants and the front light.
