WHAT IS TANDEM SKYDIVE
The tandem skydive was invented in 1983 by Ted Strong and is characterized by a double seat that allows a passenger to jump together with the professional pilot. The material and equipment of this sport are composed of two parachutes: one main and one reserve or auxiliary, of the appropriate size in order to support the weights of two passengers. The harness for the tandem passenger is composed of adjustable straps that are shaped according to the body type and weight. In the rear part of the harness there are 4 hooks that allow the connection to the pilot wearing the tandem parachute.
HOW THE ACTIVITY TAKES PLACE
The tandem skydive in Rome begins at the meeting point indicated on the map, where you can register and wait for your turn to jump. After a safety briefing, you will put on the appropriate equipment, provided by the skydiving school and get on the plane to make your adrenaline-filled jump from 4,000 meters.
You will experience about one minute of free fall reaching a speed of about 200 kilometers per hour. Your instructor will take care of everything from opening the parachute to landing safely. You won’t have to worry about a thing.
All stages of the jump are filmed by a skydiver with a camera and, at the end of the activity, you will receive photo and video to relive those emotions whenever you want.

WHO IS THE ACTIVITY FOR
Tandem skydiving is an activity for everyone: no physical training is necessary and you will be hooked up to the instructor via the safety harness. Kids 16 and older can fly. In addition, people with disabilities can also do the activity upon request. The maximum weight allowed per passenger is 100 kg. This activity is also ideal for couples who want to share a unique and unforgettable moment.
