What is Parasailing

Parasailing is a sport of the early 80’s that consists of using a parachute inflated by the wind and towed by a motor boat. The speed of the boat and the wind allow the passenger to rise into the air and reach the desired height to enjoy a breathtaking view.

HOW THE ACTIVITY TAKES PLACE

The activity takes place near the Amalfi Coast, precisely in the frame of the Sorrento peninsula. The departure is at 17:00 from Marina Grande in Sorrento where, together with the group of passengers, you will board the boat and reach the point where you can rise in flight and enjoy a unique view and admire the Gulf of Naples, the Vesuvius, the coast of Cape Sorrento and a characteristic glimpse of the tuffaceous ridge typical of the Sorrento Peninsula.

An instructor and the skipper will give you a short briefing to explain the procedures and safety measures to be followed. You will have to wear the harness and sit on the flight deck to start the adventure.

The flight will last 10 minutes and you will rise up to 100 meters high. For the return, don’t worry: the skipper will take care of bringing you back to the boat, making you land gently on the flight deck.

But your experience doesn’t end here: the boat ride continues and you’ll have the opportunity to take a swim in the clear waters of the Sorrento Coast and sip a drink to toast your adventure and the next ones you’ll live.

WHO IS THE ACTIVITY FOR

Parasailing on the Amalfi Coast is an activity for everyone: it is not necessary, in fact, any experience as you will be trained by qualified personnel who will accompany you throughout the adventure. You can decide to live it alone, as a couple, with a group of friends, with your family or to celebrate a bachelor or bachelorette party. Children ages 9 can also participate.
