WHAT IS SCUBA DIVING
Introductory dive is a scuba dive for those who want to experience the thrill of breathing underwater. You can decide to take a single dive or a double dive, accompanied by an SSI instructor. The tour takes place in the Archaeological Park Baia, a marine protected area located on the coast of the metropolitan city of Naples north of the Bay of Naples. Also referred to as “the sunken Pompeii” because of its Roman city-like structure, the Archaeological Park is rich in history and culture, and it is possible to admire the many ruins from the Roman and medieval periods.
HOW THE ACTIVITY TAKES PLACE
Departure is at 9:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. at the meeting point indicated on the map, where you will meet the staff, your instructor and fellow adventurers.
After a short briefing, a few shallow water acclimatization exercises you will experience your first dive with full scuba gear, in safely with SSI instructor (maximum two participants per instructor) at the maximum depth of 5 meters.
The entire experience lasts about 3 hours including registration, equipment preparation, theoretical explanation, archaeological presentation, boarding, navigation, diving, and finally return. The actual dive time is about 40-45 minutes.

WHO IS THE ACTIVITY FOR
Scuba diving in the Archaeological Park in Baia is an activity for everyone; you just need to know how to swim and have good physical fitness. You will be trained by an SSI professional who will instruct you in basic skills and safety rules for diving. Children ages 8 and under can also participate.
